About Us
The American Women’s Club of Toronto has a long and fascinating history that dates back 90 years. In 1917, Mrs. Thomas Wylie — an American living in Toronto — was in a Toronto hospital giving birth to her first child. She found support and comfort from Mrs. Susie Falvey, the hospital matron who was also an American. Their friendship led to the idea of forming a club specifically for American women living in Toronto. AWCT was started with only fifteen women. Although the world has changed over the years, American Women’s Club of Toronto has remained a thriving club, offering a variety of social, educational, and fundraising activities to its members. We invite you to join us. To find out more about our club, please contact us by e-mail and download our Information Sheet . We would be happy to send additional membership information to you. If you would like to speak with a member of our club, simply provide us with a phone number and the Membership Chair will call you personally We would love to hear from you!
